Friends & Family

Make no mistake: my friends and family (particularly my mother as well as my pets) mean the world to me. There is nothing more important to me. I used to not have any friends, and looking back, I don't know how I managed. They know it all, but I couldn't live without them. I'd be absolutely miserable.

To me, there is a difference between a close friend and a good friend. A close friend is one I can confide in in pretty much anything, and feel more or less comfortable with anything on my mind or their mind. A good friend is similar, but maybe I'm a bit less close to emotionally. Of my friends, there are three who are very close.

Emelie is the best. As a person and as a friend. She's such a sweet person. She knows what I think, but I can't stress it enough how much her friendship means to me. And that's what a friend should be. She also happens to be very talented in writing and I'd also say photgraphy - though, being from Sweden, it's hard not to have pretty pictures *lol* but I know she could manage anywhere.

Angi is another very special friend. She is also close to Emelie, and the three of us are best of friends. Angi is the one who originally gave me the nickname coder junkie (or maybe it was code junkie, but same thing), and has helped me in so many ways. See, I'm not the best with emotions, having no experience. Thanks to Angi, and some others in my life, I've improved a lot, even if I have a long way to go (and I do, sadly).

There are others. Some don't have a personal website or blog. But they mean the world to me nonetheless. I have a friend from Australia that also means a lot to me. She's quite ill, so that's my main concern with her, but she's a wonderful person, and I have had many wonderful chats with her. I can't thank her enough for her friendship.

Still, there are some others. One, who I don't know if he has a website, I would have to thank so much, for without him, I'd not know Emelie and Angi - he introduced me to ImagicaMUD (see About Me). And I'd also have to thank him for his friendship. I have had many - and still have several - others over the years, and they all know who they are.

My pets also mean a great deal to me. You can see photos of my current pets and perhaps some late pets here.

And as for my mother, she has always been there for me, no matter how hard or dark my life has been. I probably wouldn't be alive still, if it wasn't for her, and I don't mean because I wouldn't have been born. The three friends I mentioned above are about the only ones who match her in specialness to me. To me, that's very impressive, and I'm so thankful to every wonderful person in my life. And as I said elsewhere - perhaps many times - they are the most important thing to me, always.
